Medicus Healthcare Solutions, a leader and innovator in healthcare staffing, announced today that Cristina Muise, President, has been recognized by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) in the Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list for 2018. In its fourth year, this annual list recognizes female leaders and influencers in the global talent marketplace.
The publication recognizes influential female leaders in the industry worldwide and provides a platform to celebrate many of the talented women shaping the world of work. The list is not a ranking. It shines a spotlight on those whose accomplishments and contributions have not just elevated the industry but have helped to shape, define and influence the rapidly evolving world of work. From established players to up-and-coming executives, the women comprising this year’s list are succeeding in taking a $461 billion global industry forward.
Under Muise’s leadership, Medicus Healthcare Solutions is regularly recognized as a leading healthcare staffing company with outstanding accomplishments in innovative business performance, dynamic workplace culture, employee satisfaction, and customer commitment. The company’s most recent achievements include being named among the Best Staffing Firms to Work For by Staffing Industry Analysts and Becker’s Hospital Review’s 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare, and earning Inavero’s Best of Staffing Client Satisfaction and Best of Staffing Talent Satisfaction Awards, a coveted spot on the Inc. 5000 List, as well as accolades from Modern Healthcare.
Prior to joining Medicus, Muise owned and operated a consulting practice and served in faculty positions at Stonehill College and Merrimack College. Moreover, for 12 years, she served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at GlobalWare Solutions, where she was responsible for day-to-day operations for locations in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Currently, Muise serves on the NALTO Board of Directors and on the Advisory Board of UBERDOC. She is an inactive CPA and holds a BA in Accounting from Merrimack College, an MBA in Finance from Bentley College, and a PhD in Finance from Walden University.
“Around the globe the fight to increase female representation continues as women are outnumbered in leadership positions, boardrooms and the upper echelons of business. While women dominate the staffing industry at branch-level, this is not reflected in our C-suites,” said Subadhra Sriram, Editor & Publisher, Media Products at SIA. “It continues to be essential that we recognize female leadership and call out the immensely important roles these women play in developing, driving and delivering solutions, work models and value for the industry. It is exciting to see the list grow this year to include more of the executives who are making things happen across the workforce solutions ecosystem.”
“This year’s SIA Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list is comprised of some truly exemplary leaders in the global staffing and recruiting industry, and these leaders should be proud of their tremendous accomplishments,” said Art Papas, Founder and CEO of Bullhorn. “These amazing leaders serve as role models for everyone in the industry and their leadership will encourage the next generation of innovative thinkers. While there is still more work to do to increase female leadership representation, these leaders and their stories represent progress. Bullhorn is incredibly proud to support the Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing list.”
The Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing website debuted the 2018 full list last week, showcasing these inspiring leaders and the impact they have on the industry.
