Family Medicine Locum Coverage in Eastern VA

Medicus has an opportunity for a Family Medicine physician to assist a senior-focused health program providing comprehensive care for elderly patients.

This opportunity is located in eastern Virginia, with a focus on supporting seniors who prefer to remain in their homes and communities as an alternative to nursing home placement.

Opportunity Details:

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Call Shifts: Weeknights from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m.; weekend coverage from Friday at 5 p.m. to Monday at 8 a.m. (rotating every three weeks)
• Setting: Outpatient only
• Daily volume of patients varies
• Responsibilities: Complex Care/Internal Medicine, participation in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings, & attend home/skilled nursing facility visits as needed
• EMR: EPIC
• Patient Population: Primarily elderly
• Paid travel, lodging, & expenses
