Medicus has partnered with a hospital in central Kentucky that has an opportunity for a General Surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, 7a-7a
- Admission Volume: ~3 per day
- Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Duties: Hospital call coverage, including emergency ED calls, inpatient rounding, and procedures
- Required Procedures: General surgery and some GI
- Support Staff: OR call team, hospitalist, inpatient nursing
- EMR: Epic
- Must be board-certified
- ACLS, BLS, and DEA required
- PALS certification preferred
- Paid travel & expenses
