Medicus has partnered with a hospital in Omaha, NE, with an opportunity for a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage. 


Opportunity Overview:

  • Level I Tramua Level
  • Schedule: 24-hour shifts, specific dates
  • Daily Admissions per Provider: ~1-4
  • Duties: Hospital rounds on CTS patients, OP and IP consults, OR coverage for cardiac surgery, and some thoracic trauma
  • Procedures Required: Standard Cardiac Surgery, heart cases, ECMO cannulation, aortic dissections, and CABG.
  • Average heart cases per year: 150
  • Support Staff: PAs & NPs
  • EMR: Epic
  • Must be board-certified
  • ACLS, BLS, & DEA preferred
  • Paid travel & expenses
