At Medicus Healthcare Solutions, our mission is rooted in people—improving healthcare access and giving back to the communities we serve. This fall, our team came together to support efforts that raise awareness and funding for pediatric cancer and other serious childhood illnesses.
Turning Out the Lights on Pediatric Cancer
Project Blackout is a nonprofit organization on a mission to turn out the lights on pediatric cancer. Each year, schools and communities across New Hampshire and Massachusetts unite by wearing one shared T-shirt to raise awareness and funds in support of children and families affected by cancer.
What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a powerful community movement. Teams across the region host Blackout Cancer games to spotlight the high rates of childhood cancer in New England, where fans, students, and families fill the stands wearing the special Blackout Cancer T-shirt. From classrooms and workplaces to Friday night football games, the message is clear—this is a mission everyone can be part of.
Proceeds from t-shirt sales benefit local charities and help fund important pediatric cancer research projects.
Medicus proudly supports Project Blackout each year, joining schools and communities to strengthen this mission. The partnership reflects our value of People First, Always, as we continue to build relationships rooted in compassion and shared purpose. It’s also a reminder that No One Wins Alone—real change happens when we work together toward a common goal.
Stepping Towards a Cure
Members of the Medicus team also participated in the annual St. Jude Walk in Boston, supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its ongoing work to treat and prevent childhood cancer and other serious illnesses.
Walking alongside hundreds of participants, our team helped raise funds that support innovative research and ensure access to quality care for children everywhere. The event reflected our commitment to Deliver With Heart, a core value that drives us to take meaningful action and make a difference in the lives of others.
