At Medicus, healthcare is our industry, but people are our purpose. Through the Medicus Cares initiative, our team comes together to make an impact where it matters most.

This spring, Medicus hosted its annual spring clothing drive in support of children and teens in our community – a tradition reflective of our ongoing commitment to empower others and put people first, always.

From Donations to Impact: Supporting Catie’s Closet’s Mission

Catie's Closet is a nonprofit organization that provides clothing and basic necessities to over 100,000 K-12 students across Massachusetts and New Hampshire each day. During Medicus’ annual spring clothing drive, our team donated over 30 bags of clothing to support the nonprofit’s mission. These donations will help give dozens of local students access to the resources they need to thrive in school, at home, and beyond.

Members of our team also visited the distribution center to personally deliver, sort, and organize the donations. It served as an inspiring opportunity to witness firsthand how small acts of generosity can have a lasting impact on others’ lives.

“It was incredibly rewarding to volunteer with an organization whose mission empowers kids to feel confident and express themselves through clothing,” said Kelsey Theriault, Credentialing Team Lead.

Filling Closets, Fueling Futures

Our annual spring clothing drive is just one way that Medicus works to ensure that students in our community have access to the tools they need to succeed. By supporting Catie’s Closet each year, we are proud to play a small part in helping local children and teens grow, learn, and lead with confidence.

“A quote that really resonated with me there was, ‘kids are in crisis year-round," said Amanda-Mae Horne, Credentialing Coordinator. “This really emphasized the importance of this organization; we are helping families at their most vulnerable times in their lives.”
